Anatomical Pathology Department
The Anatomical Pathology Department (APD) of medical and preventive treatment facilities in the Tsentralny district of Sochi was established as a part of the oncologic dispensary in 1976.
The department staff consist of 4 doctors: 2 highest category doctors, 2 first category doctors; 8 histotechnologists: 4 highest category histotechnologists, 2 first category histotechnologists, 2 second category histotechnologists.

APD is a structural division of the oncologic dispensary. APD provides histological studies of surgical material and urgent intraoperative biopsies. In addition, postmortem examinations are carried out in the medical and preventive treatment facilities of the Tsentralny district of Sochi and at the place of residence in accordance with the current legislation.

APD primary service is histological studies, i.e. study of tissues and organs removed from patients during surgery to understand the pathological process and to appoint relevant treatment. Since 2006, APD has carried out an in-depth study of malignant breast tumors using modern techniques that meet international standards.
